The Ironworks Diesels is the fifth episode of the second season.
Plot
Percy just finished telling Duck about his experience yesterday. Duck was horrified. "Why, those mischevious Diesels!" exclaimed Duck. (guard blows whistle) Percy had to leave with his train, leaving Duck a lot to think about.
Later that day, Duck met up with Oliver and Douglas at Tidmouth. "Percy told me he got kidnapped at the Scrapyards last night! Be careful Oliver, you're taking some scrap there tonight." warned Duck. "Pah, I can handle Diesels. Unlike you," retorted Oliver. "I wouldna say that if I were ya. Remember our escape from the scrapyard on the Mainland?" corrected Douglas.
One night, Oliver was shunting trucks at the scrapyards. Oliver was very worried and thought diesels would come and get him. Toad reasured him that there was nothing to fear. Of course, Toad's theory was wrong.
Unfortunately, 'Arry and Bert have been wanting to scrap Oliver for a long time. After all, he was to be scrapped until Douglas saved them. The two diesels rolled up alongside Oliver. Oliver tried to puff away, but 'Arry had already been coupled up.
The three engines arrived at the smelting shed. Oliver was very scared, and so was his crew. Toad shouted for help, but it was no good. The guard blew his whistle as loud as he could. They all heard puffing noises, then whistles. Oliver and Toad smiled. They knew who they were.
It was Donald and Douglas who were passing by with a goods train to the Mainland. They saw what was happening. The twins, their guard and Oliver's guard whistled at the same time. That made 'Arry's driver come out of the cab and uncouple Oliver. Oliver's driver opened the regulator, and Oliver raced out of the Smelter's Yard.
Once Sir Topham Hatt found out what happended, he punished 'Arry and Bert severely. They were locked up in their sheds. Oliver thanked Donald and Douglas for their help. Douglas smiled and said that he's an enterprising engine and that didn't deserve to be scrapped by some cruel diesels. Oliver and Toad were very grateful to Donald and Douglas after that.
